Why Minerva Doesn’t Accept Tips (No, it’s not because we don’t like you…or more money.)

Every so often, after a great treatment, a patient will lean in conspiratorially, clutch their pearls, and whisper:

“Can I tip you?”

First of all—thank you. Truly. Minerva Aesthetics adores that you’re happy with your results. Second… please put your pearls and your wallet down. With care.

Here’s why medical aesthetic practitioners don’t accept tips—and why that’s a good thing for everyone.

1. We’re Medical Professionals, Not Bartenders With Syringes

As much as we love your aesthetic journey, what we do is medical care. Injectables, microneedling, and skin treatments fall under medical ethics and professional standards. Tipping could blur that line, and trust us—you want that line crystal clear when needles are involved.

2. Relax.

We want you to enjoy every minute of your time at Minerva Aesthetics. We don’t want you to be worrying about something as silly as a tip while you’re relaxing with us.

3. Your Treatment Isn’t (and Shouldn’t Be) Influenced by Gratuity

Everyone deserves the same high standard of care, whether it’s their first visit or their fiftieth. No upgrades, no “extra units,” no secret sauce because someone slipped us cash. Your face and body gets treated based on anatomy and expertise.

3. Results > Receipts

The best “tip” is knowing you’re thrilled with your outcome. When you leave texting your friends “OMG I love it,” that’s the win for us.

4. It’s Actually a Compliance Thing

Many medical practices are prohibited from accepting tips due to regulations. So when we politely decline, we’re not being awkward—we’re being compliant (very on-brand for the medical professional).

5. If You Really Want to Show Love…

We won’t say no to:

  • A kind review

  • A referral to a friend

  • Coming back for your follow-up

  • Or simply trusting us with your care

(And yes, we will happily accept compliments. Those are always in budget.)

The Bottom Line

Minerva is here to provide safe, ethical, quality aesthetic medicine—not to accept gratuities. So the next time your physician assistant smiles and says, “No tips, thank you,” know it comes from professionalism… and maybe a little relief that we don’t have to awkwardly refuse your cash again.
